Introducing Godfather of Hell
Infernal neo-noir coming your way this Halloween!
Hot on the heels of Friday’s Night of the Slashers news, CBR has just announced my next creator-owned comic, launching from Vault this October 9.
Godfather of Hell is a stylish neo-noir horror following the story of Dario, a ambitious young mob enforcer who finds himself sent to hell by the wrong end of a bullet. But death is only the beginning as he attracts the eye of a devil in need of Dario’s particular skill set.
Think Hellraiser directed by Guy Richie. Lucifer meets the Sopranos. Drive meets Neon Demon.
Here’s the solicit:
Dario Santini has lived a charmed life as an enforcer and debt collector for mob boss Niccolò Mechini. He’s had it all: respect, power, even the love of a good woman. But everything changes when he crosses a line and is shot dead on the sidewalk. Waking up in Hell, Dario faces a future of pain and suffering… unless he can turn eternal damnation into a business opportunity. Neo-noir hellfire from New York Times Bestseller Cavan Scott (Star Wars: The High Republic, Shadow Service, Dead Seas) and Bram Stoker Award-winning artist Pius Bak (Eat the Rich, The Magicians, Stranger Things).
I’m having so much fun with Godfather of Hell's wonderful co-creator Pius. Just check out his incredible cover for issue one:
And what about Nathan Gooden's Tarantino-inspired homage variant?
Head over to CBR to get the full scoop and keep your eyes on the Cavletter where I’ll be providing all kinds of behind-the-scenes goodies when the regular posts return first week of September.
And, as always, it would really help if you could spread the word. I’ve posted news about Godfather of Hell on Instagram, Threads and Bluesky with these graphics for handy signal boosting! Thank you for all you do to support me.
I can't wait for you all to pick up issue one of Godfather of Hell. Between this and Night of the Slashers I’m having my very own Halloween Double Feature! In fact, it’s a quadruple feature when you consider the Vader’s Castle Deluxe Library Collection and my story in this year’s DC halloween special, I Know What You Did Last Crisis!
Yes, I am attempting to own spooky season!
Until next time, look after yourself and each other.
