High Republic news and interview roundup

We've all been talking up Star Wars: The High Republic these last few weeks. Here's where to catch up in case you've missed anything!

High Republic news and interview roundup

Hello there!

Life has been busy with the launch of Phase III of Star Wars: The High Republic recently, so I thought I’d use today’s post to point you in the direction of some of the interviews and other delights that have come out over the last few weeks, including this cool new trailer:

So onto all that news…

Phase III

First up, Charles Soule, Justina Ireland, George Mann and yours truly were interviewed by the Star Wars Underground Network back at San Diego Comic Con, the interview only having just been released.

Meanwhile, over on the official website, the Starwars.com team earwig into a conversation between me and George in which we talk about the High Republic and also how we first became friends.

Elsewhere on the Star Wars website you can find:

Finally, I popped up on the Star Wars Book Community Podcast to talk Phase III and Keeve Trennis (although I did manage to sneak in some Doctor Who in there too!)

Oh, and in case you didn’t see it, George swung by this newsletter to share his choices for a Perfect Sunday this last weekend too!

Young Jedi Adventures

Away from Phase III, I’ve also been doing the rounds to talk about my work on Young Jedi Adventures, specifically my episode Charhound Chase.

Arezou Amin interviewed me and fellow writer Katie Kaniewski about introducing characters from the books into the animated series.

Katie and I were also interviewed by Kelly Knox on the official Star Wars website along with showrunner Michael Olson (the interview revealed which character I’d love to see get their own little spin-off!)

Phew! I think that’s everything at the moment (although away from Star Wars, CBR did highlight my Deadpool / Living Mummy story in Marvel’s Crypt of Shadows!)

Upcoming Events

That’s all for now, except for a couple of coming attractions@

On 14th December, Bristol Bad Film Club will be showing the new documentary: A Disturbance in the Force - How the Star Wars Holiday Special Happened.

As well as the big screen showing, Bad Movie Bible author Rob Hill will be giving a talk on some of the greatest (and weirdest) Star Wars rip-offs and I’ll be giving an exclusive reading from the Star Wars: Life Day Treasury.

Tickets are on sale now!

And don’t forget that Lucasfilm Publishing’s Creative Director Michael Siglain will be joining members of this newsletter’s paid tier for a video hangout this coming Thursday! Make sure you subscribe to attend!

Hope to see you there!
